Updated 24 October 2026 · Free playtest. This notice describes the current Nomad Empires service at the addresses listed in Legal & contact.
Végvári Marcell, a private individual, operates the game and is its data controller. Contact: vegvarimarcell@gmail.com.
Use a made-up player name. Other people in your match can see it, so do not put your real name, school, address or phone number in it. We need your chosen name and the moves you make to run an online match. There are no adverts, purchases or chat in this test. You do not need an email account to play.
Read the play terms with your parent or guardian if you are a minor. If you want help with your information, you or your parent can email the address above. Do not send secret lobby codes, passwords or session tokens.
No account registration, advertising profiles, analytics trackers or purchases are part of this test. Solo match state stays in your browser. Loading the hosted game still sends connection data to the hosting infrastructure; having no account does not make that connection anonymous. Browser settings stay in the open page’s memory. Private developer access, when enabled by the operator, uses a separate in-memory token that expires after six hours or when locked; it is not saved in browser storage. Temporary online storage is explained in the Storage notice.
Render Services, Inc. hosts the game server in Frankfurt (EU Central). Its Data Processing Addendum describes its processor role for customer personal data and its separate controller role for account and usage data. Its subprocessor list includes AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare and ClickHouse; this does not mean all of them receive every player’s data.
Some provider operations can take place outside the EEA, including in the United States. Render’s DPA describes the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and EU standard contractual clauses where specified. See its Privacy Policy and logging documentation. Contact the operator for information about relevant safeguards or copies where applicable. A Frankfurt server is not a promise of EU-only processing.
Contact email uses Google’s Gmail, under Google’s Privacy Policy, including its international-processing safeguards. The game does not send match data to Gmail. The operator’s personal Gmail account is not represented as a Google Workspace business-processing agreement.
The operator and infrastructure providers receive the data needed for the purposes above. Room participants receive the game information described above. Information may also be disclosed when a binding legal duty requires it. Any new domain/DNS provider, proxy, analytics or payment feature must be assessed and this notice updated when its data processing changes.
You may request access, correction, erasure or restriction, object to legitimate-interest processing, and request portability where its conditions apply. Contact vegvarimarcell@gmail.com with your nickname, approximate play time and request. Do not email secret tokens or identity-document copies. We ask only for proportionate additional information when needed to identify the record or verify representation, and we do not disclose another player’s data on the basis of a nickname alone.
We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary, we explain it within that month. You may complain to Hungary’s NAIH or another competent supervisory authority and seek a judicial remedy. A parent may help a child exercise their rights; children also have rights themselves.
There is no advertising profiling or solely automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. A nickname is needed for online play; a real name, birth date and email address are not required by the game. Mandatory-service processing is not presented as optional consent. If a future feature relies on consent, refusal and withdrawal must be possible and any applicable child-consent requirements must be met before that feature is enabled.
The test is for players aged 13 and over, including 13–15-year-olds with the permission required by the play terms. If we learn that a player is under 13, we will stop their participation and remove identifiable game records; contact us to report this without sending identity-document copies. The applicable participation rules are in the Terms of play. The game does not verify age or parental identity. A parent’s permission for play is distinct from consent to an optional data use. Optional persistent preference storage has been removed from this test.
Material changes to this notice will be explained before the new processing begins. The same operator and privacy rights apply on the current Render address and a later official custom domain.
Playtest terms · 24 October 2026. These terms concern the free Nomad Empires service operated by Végvári Marcell at the addresses listed in Legal & contact.
If you are a minor under the law where you live, a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these terms and authorize your participation before you play. Where the law requires a representative to act for you, they must do so. If you cannot validly agree yourself and do not have the required authorization, do not join. A nickname or lobby code does not verify age or parental permission.
Minimum age: 13. This test is not offered to children under 13. Players aged 13–17 need a parent or legal guardian’s agreement before playing; any stricter local legal requirement still applies. This is the operator’s participation rule, not an official PEGI or other content rating. The game contains strategy combat and destruction of units and buildings.
Playing is free, with no adverts, subscriptions or in-game purchases. Your own internet/device costs may apply. Resources and scores have no cash value. Bugs, updates or interruptions can lose progress. There is no promise of permanent saves, uninterrupted access or a particular future release.
Online play uses one shared room for two to four players with an invitation code. The host can start or pause a match, remove a guest from the lobby and reset the match. Share invitations only with the intended players; keep the host code secret.
Choose a nickname that does not impersonate someone or reveal private information. Do not use abusive, threatening or discriminatory names, cheat, exploit bugs against other players, access another person’s session, bypass access restrictions or overload the server. Report security issues privately to vegvarimarcell@gmail.com. Ordinary play through the game’s intended diplomacy and trade mechanics is allowed.
Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to stop misuse or protect players. Email the contact address to report abuse or request review of a restriction. Reports are considered by the operator; this test does not promise an automated moderation service.
Rooms expire after 24 hours from the first join, or after all connections have been absent for 30 minutes. The room, tokens and match state are then cleared. Resetting a match does not extend the room lifetime. A restart can end it earlier. Finish your match before changing website addresses: browser sessions are not transferred automatically.
You may load and play this test for personal, non-commercial enjoyment. This permission does not transfer ownership of its code, artwork or other materials. Third-party materials keep their own licences; see Credits. Mandatory legal rights and rights granted by those licences are preserved. No registered-trademark status is claimed for Nomad Empires.
The Privacy notice explains data processing. Playing is not blanket consent to tracking or advertising. Material changes to these terms will be explained before they take effect; a future paid feature requires separate clear terms. You may stop playing at any time.
For questions or complaints, email vegvarimarcell@gmail.com. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms impose no mandatory foreign arbitration or waiver of statutory remedies.
Updated 24 October 2026. This describes the game application at the official addresses in Legal & contact.
The game application does not set HTTP cookies, use analytics or advertising trackers, or save optional preferences permanently. Nickname, map, difficulty and audio choices stay in page memory and can reset on reload. There is no optional-storage consent checkbox in this version.
Earlier versions offered “Remember preferences”. On loading this version, the game removes only its old local-storage keys: marchlands-player-name, marchlands-map, marchlands-solo-difficulty, marchlands-audio and marchlands-preferences-consent. It does not read them to restore preferences or clear unrelated site data.
These entries are cleared when you leave the lobby, are removed, or the client detects an invalid/expired session. They normally last for the tab’s browsing session, although browser restoration can preserve them. Closing or clearing browser data does not itself erase server records. A server token becomes invalid when its room expires even if an old copy remains in an unopened browser tab. See Privacy for server deletion times.
The Render address, nomadempires.io and www.nomadempires.io have separate browser storage. No session or preference is automatically copied between them. Leave the old lobby before switching; ask the operator for help if a session is stuck. Clearing one address’s storage does not clear another’s.
Offline solo play stays local; storage behaviour for a downloaded HTML file depends on the browser. Hosting/provider storage must be checked again if the DNS, proxy or infrastructure changes. New non-essential storage is not authorized by this notice and must meet the applicable consent requirements before activation.
Operator details · 24 October 2026. The name, contact and hosting below describe the current test. Whether additional postal particulars must be published for this private, free service is still being clarified; no fictitious address is supplied.
These documents cover the free Nomad Empires playtest operated by Végvári Marcell at nomad-empires.onrender.com. They also cover nomadempires.io and www.nomadempires.io only once the operator has registered and connected those addresses to this same service. Merely naming a domain here does not establish ownership or availability. They do not cover unrelated websites or copies operated by other people.
A change of website address alone does not change the operator, these terms or your privacy rights. If the operator, providers, purposes or features change, the relevant notices must be updated before the new processing begins. Open the game at the current address.
Please use the contact email above for service questions, privacy requests, intellectual-property concerns and reports of abuse. The availability of a domain or the display of a game name is not a claim of registered trademark rights.
